Editing techniques
Clips are assembled automatically, but a few techniques are yours to control — you switch them on in the design template, and they apply to every clip in an order. Turning all of them on does not make a clip better: together they look like a showcase of features rather than tidy editing. Switch on what your video needs.
Key word in colour
In each phrase we highlight one word — the one the model considered the most important — in all of its occurrences in the clip. The colour comes from the template and can be changed in the editor. If the model named no key word, there will be no colour at all: we do not highlight a similar word instead.
Pause trimming
Silence inside the clip is cut out and the pieces are stitched together, so the speech runs tighter and the clip is shorter. We remove no more than 20% of the clip’s length: beyond that it is the meaning that breaks, not just the silence. Filler sounds (“er”, “um”) are not touched — they stay.
Title from the first frame
The title is visible from second zero rather than sliding in later, and it is short — one glance should be enough to read it. If the model suggests a long one, we ask it for a shorter one instead of cutting it off with an ellipsis.
Push-in on the speaker
When the phrase changes, the frame moves in towards the face. The move is slight and infrequent: stronger looks soft on 1080p source, more often becomes tiring. In the square format the technique is off: there the title and the face share the same space.
Progress bar
A thin bar at the bottom of the frame grows from the start of the clip to its end and reaches the edge exactly on the last frame. Off by default — switch it on in the template, where you also choose its colour and side.
Closing call to action
In the last seconds of the clip a caption with your own text appears — for example, “full recording via the link in the description”. You write the text. Leave the field empty and, for an order made from a link, we will put in that very phrase; for an order made from a file there will be no caption at all: we do not invent anyone else’s links.
How to switch them on
All the touches live in the style template: open a template, tick what you need and save — they apply to every clip of your next orders in the same frame format. Each format has its own template: editing the vertical one does not change the horizontal one. For clips that are already built, the style is changed by a rebuild. A rebuild is free and costs no minutes; a clip's style can be changed once — to another style of the same format.
